Rege-Jean Page, the rising star who has become well-known for his role in the Netflix show Bridgerton, has been forced to respond due to certain allegations relating to race.
The Story and why Rege-Jean Page was included
On April 6 THR released a hefty article pertaining to an interview with the actor Ray Fisher. The article contained his allegations against Justice League director Joss Wheadon and co-chairman and producer Geoff Johns. This interview exposes a massive investigation pertaining to the two men based on problematic incidents. The incidents have to include racist and sexual behaviors that are deemed inappropriate. Which caused various mishaps and troubles within the set of not just Justice League but other sets as well. This includes the alleged incident with the casting role Rege-Jean Page in the show Krypton.
In this role, Page auditioned for the role of Superman’s grandfather. But because “fans expected the character to look like a young Henry Cavil” Johns, who oversaw the project, refused to give the role to Page. The role eventually went to actor Cameron Cuffe.
While this recent tweet did not mention the recent article nor allegations. Page did say this “Hearing back about these conversations hurt no less now than it did back then. The clarifications hurt more tbh”
Fans of Page have gatherers round and have posted various words of encouragement wishing him the best for his future endeavors.
Page has now risen to enough fame to begin rejecting roles and began being offered more opportunities. Recently it was told that he rejected his famous Duke role for the show Bridgerton. The show whom offered him over $50,000 per episode. While fans mourn the loss of their favorite actor and character they wish him the best for his future.
