The official track list for the highly-anticipated Judas and the Black Messiah movie was unveiled and it’s stacked with Hip Hop heavyweights. But the most notable track was the JAY-Z and Nipsey Hussle collaboration “What It Feels Like.” LeBron James got his hands on the record and blessed us with a preview. LeBron is vibing in the teaser below and you can hear Hov shoutout OVO producer, 40.
The soundtrack for the film, which was executive produced by Hit-Boy, Dash Sherrod, Ryan Coogler, and Archie Davis, also guest features Polo G, Saba, Smino, Rapsody, Pooh Shiesty, Kiana Ledé, Black Thought, Nas, Bump J, G Herbo, and others. The soundtrack will be released on February 12th, the same day Judas and the Black Messiah is released on HBO Max. This marks Nipsey and JAY-Z’s first collaboration, but Hov has long expressed support for Nip. In 2013, the late rapper was selling his Crenshaw CD for $100 as apart of his Proud to Pay campaign for his real supporters. The mixtape came with an autograph and a free ticket to his show. “I got a DM on Twitter from a respected hip-hop journalist and he was just like, ‘Hov respects the move, salute,’ Nipsey Hussle told MTV in 2013. “A little while later, I got an email that came through my team that was like, ‘Roc Nation, on behalf of Jay Z wants to buy 100 units. Who do we pay? When can we get the shipment out?’” Which other record are you excited to hear?LeBron James gets the new Jay Z song dropping with Nipsey Hussle early pic.twitter.com/uZXEG5fAdb
