Investigators To Reveal Probable Cause In Kobe Bryant Copter Crash

According to a report from TMZ, the National Transportation Safety Board, the federal agency that is investigating the Kobe Bryant helicopter crash, has announced that they will be having a livestream open to the public today to reveal the probable cause of the crash that killed the NBA star and his 13-year-old daughter in Calabasas, California on January 26, 2020.

The NTSB said that their initial investigation uncovered no evidence of engine failure. After months of investigation, the NTSB figures that the pilot may have gotten disoriented after the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter was caught in the fog.

Toxicology reports reveal the pilot, Ara Zobayan, was not intoxicated. In June, the investigation uncovered that Zobayan thought he was ascending over the fog, but in reality, was descending at a very high rate of speed.

Besides Ara, Kobe and his daughter Gianna, six other died in the crash; Alyssa Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, John Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Payton Chester and Sarah Chester.
