The relationship between DaBaby and DaniLeigh has been a rocky one. Just recently, DaniLeigh shares her relationship breakup with Dababy.
DaniLeigh Announces Breakup With Dababy After Receiving Backlash For Her Song, “Yellow Bone”
For those who don’t know, DaniLeigh is getting a lot of heat lately.
A few weeks ago, DaniLeigh made a post on Instagram teasing her song, “Yellow Bone.” The preview features Dani singing lyrics, “yellow bone is what he want,” while dancing. Additionally, her boyfriend at the time, DaBaby, comments on the post in a supportive way. However, others made comments accusing her of colorism. Cue Azealia Banks saying, “Sorry can I just say, that was very anti-black.”

DaniLeigh shared an apology video afterwards. However, it wasn’t received too well from the black community. In addition to the colorism claims, rumors about the song’s intent also have been spreading. Continuing the conversation about Dani on Twitter, many have speculated that the “Yellow Bone” song is meant to send shots to Dababy’s baby mother, Meme.
DaniLeigh Announces Split From DaBaby on Instagram
Following the controversy from her “Yellow Bone” song, DaniLeigh reveals some pretty big news fans.
Just two months ago, in December, DaniLeigh and Dababy made their relationship public. The singer shared PDA-filled pics on social media. One with her arms wrapped around her boyfriend. DaBaby wasn’t too shy to flaunt their relationship either. Following DaniLeigh’s post, Dababy is seen sharing a video of Dani feeding him a lamb chop.
However, the on-again, off-again is calling it quits. DaniLeigh confirms the breakup by posting to her Instagram Story on Sunday in which she writes, “Officially single.”

DaBaby hasn’t acknowledged the breakup as of yet. He did seemingly reference his single status by posting a TikTok video of model India Love acting out the lyrics to his song. In addition to the repost, Dababy is asking fans to recreate it. The winner will be flown out for Valentine’s Day date with the “Rockstar.”
