Cardi B Responds to Mac Miller Bullying, "Ya Don’t Care Till Somebody Is Gone"

Cardi B responds to the attempt at reviving criticism of 2019 her Grammys win against ‘Swimming.

Yesterday afternoon (March 11), a Twitter user apparently criticized the Recording Academy for inviting the Pittsburgh rapper’s family to the Grammys in 2019; where his album Swimming was nominated for Best Rap Album. However, Cardi B took home the award for her debut, Invasion of Privacy, instead.

Since the now-deleted tweet, the female rapper is calling out the flip-flopping support of Mac Miller; especially considering how he was bullied online after his DUI car incident prior to his tragic death.

“His family didn’t have no mean energy so why you? I hate when ya make hate tweets like this to go viral but where was the love when ya bullied him for months on this app & he was crying out for help? Makin fun of him when he crash his car? Ya don’t care till somebody is gone,” the Bronx, N.Y. native fires back.

She goes on to add that this is why she expresses herself, explaining that some artists have so “much hurt inside” from social media bullying.

The original Twitter user starting her rant, @harrymedicine0, clarified in another deleted tweet that she wasn’t calling out Cardi. Instead, her issue is actually with the Recording Academy.

In addition, another Twitter user chimed in, informing Cardi that the initial tweet didn’t possess any “mean energy.” Nonetheless, Cardi B begged to differ.

Continuing on in another tweet, Bardi makes a supporting point for her stance on Mac Miller; who was subjected to criticism and bullying.
