Yesterday’s pro-trump capitol riot is currently being compared to BLM protests. Tweets clocked the hypocrisy during the live updates of the riot.
They are inside the capitol building.
Where are the riot police. Where are the rubber bullets?
People were arrested, beaten, gassed, and shot (with "less than lethal ammo") for protesting peacefully because of dead black men and women.
What the absolute fuck https://t.co/OyWzt2dPi4

It’s safe to say that the law enforcement response to the mob yesterday was upsetting, to say the least. Literal peaceful BLM protests during the summer of 2020 were met with military tactics. The tactics included rubber bullets, hundreds of reinforcement, curfews, and more. However, the protest that has been reportedly planned for weeks did not meet the same kind of resistance!
Mind you, the BLM protests initiated after a police officer, Derek Chauvin, murdered black man George Floyd. The pro-Trump riot yesterday… was because Trump lost the election. What’s the definition of a sore loser again?
BLM Protest vs. Pro-Trump Riot
Remember how during June’s Black Lives Matter protests, Trump issued an executive order? He issued it saying his administration would prosecute to the fullest. In addition, anyone who did harm to federal property, which gives a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
While the protests in June did lead to property damage, Trump supporters damaged federal property. Since the violent protest last night, images and videos show ransacked offices, broken windows, and more.
The Empty Threats
Vice President Mike Pence vowed that âthose involved will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” which highly doubt. The fact of the matter is authorities have been and still are slow to respond to the illegal events yesterday. Pence words along with the FBI’s seem empty.
To further my point, since when did the FBI ever have this much trouble finding offenders before?
The FBI is seeking to identify individuals instigating violence in Washington, D.C. We are accepting tips and digital media depicting rioting or violence in and around the U.S. Capitol on January 6. If you have information, visit https://t.co/buMd8vYXzH.

The tweet, to me, is a half-assed attempt to show some kind of action is being taken. However, BLM protesters had to make conscious efforts to conceal their identities. In contrast, Trump supporters have proudly taken pictures that document their crimes.Â
it would be a shame if the @FBI saw this pic.twitter.com/jkJQG9SWz6

I wonder if they found this guy yet…
this man broke into a government building and stole somebodyâs mail which is a federal crime. https://t.co/4LJ2EJZ9cF

Biden says what many of us are thinking:
“No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldnât have been treated very, very differently from the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol. We all know thatâs true, and it is unacceptableâ
My head hurts… Yesterday’s event was a blatant display of white privilege and has sparked a lot of difficult conversations that I think many of us are tired of having. Also, before anyone gets mad; “We’re not asking for you to shoot them like you shoot us. We’re asking you to NOT shoot us like you don’t shoot them.”
