The hip-hop community gather around to send well wishes to DMX drug overdose.
On Saturday night (April 2nd) TMZ.com reported that DMX collapsed at his home. The rapper, also known as Earl “DMX’ Simmons, reportedly suffered from a drug overdose that triggered a heart attack. And since then he has been on life support and various artist and the community has joined together to wish him well wishes and recovery.
DMX has always shared and vocalized about his mental health and struggles with his addiction. He battled substance abuse in 2019 and has just completed a 12-month- sentence for tax evasion. Since a young age, he has struggled with addiction and gone in and out of rehab various times throughout his life and career. It is also well known that during his performances he talks to his fans and shares his life stories and constant struggles that he is currently going through.
When news broke out many artists have come together to wish him a full recovery here are some below:
The support and prayers have continued on and continue to grow in hopes of his recovery come from anyone on the social media world. In a statement on the TMZ website from a DMX representative, he says “…The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support, and prayers for Earl. Earl is someone whose life and music have been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world. It is reassuring to see his fans return that same passion and energy to him during his time of need.”
Recently it has been reported that he is in a “vegative state” for the last four days. Including life support and stated as a being “in a coma” loved ones desire to know a prognosis. There is a chance the family would need to make difficult decisions but for now we have little to no information on his true state. Many rumors have circulated around the internet but all we know is that various tests will be run to determine his oxygen levels.
For now we wait and hope for a speedy recovery for DMX and his family.
